Prepare for October Prime Day with an Amazon Wishlist
As October Prime Day approaches, it’s an excellent opportunity to establish an Amazon wishlist. This will help you monitor all the items you intend to purchase through your Prime membership. Additionally, consider sharing this list with friends or family for future gift suggestions.
Steps to Create and Populate Your Amazon Wishlist
To create a wishlist via your web browser, hover over the Accounts & Lists section located in the upper right area of the page, and choose Create a list from the menu on the left. Alternatively, you can navigate using Accounts & Lists > Your Lists > Create a List. A pop-up will appear prompting you to name your list; simply type in the desired name and select Create List.
If you prefer the Amazon Shopping app, tap on the profile icon located on the bottom navigation bar, then select Your Lists. Next, press the plus icon next to Your lists and registries. After entering your preferred list name, hit Create List.
To add items to your wishlist, visit the product’s page, and locate the Add to List dropdown (or just the text on mobile) right beneath the Add to Cart/Buy Now button. You can choose an existing list or opt for Create a List to open a new wishlist directly.
How to Share Your Amazon Wishlist
By default, all Amazon wishlists are private, but you can opt to share specific lists with your friends and relatives. On a web browser, click the menu in the upper right corner, select the list you wish to share, and click Invite or Send list to others. For the mobile app, locate the menu represented by three stacked lines at the bottom. You’ll find a Lists button that displays all your wishlists; open the desired list to invite others. You have the choice to allow others to either view and edit your wishlist or only view it, along with options to copy the link or send invitations via email.
If you want to modify privacy settings, change your list’s name, or enable Alexa to add items to your wishlist, simply hover over the three horizontal dots labeled “More” and select Manage list. Additionally, you can activate Don’t spoil my surprises so that friends can surprise you with gifts from your wishlist without your prior knowledge.
