Effortlessly Manage Amazon Purchases and Returns Using Apple Wallet
For avid Amazon shoppers, the convenience of managing purchases often comes hand-in-hand with the occasional need to return items. Exciting news is on the horizon—Apple Wallet will soon simplify how users handle both their purchases and returns. As reported by 9to5Mac, updates from Amazon and Apple are making it seamless to track orders and save return codes in the Apple Wallet app.
Tracking Amazon Orders in iOS 26
With the upcoming release of iOS 26, users can leverage Apple Intelligence to effortlessly scan messages within their Mail app, extracting order and tracking details directly into Apple Wallet. This innovative feature allows shoppers to monitor order status, including shipped and delivered notifications, enhancing the overall shopping experience. Importantly, this functionality extends beyond Amazon, catering to multiple retailers.
Apple initially unveiled this feature during WWDC and rolled it out with the iOS 26 beta 2. It’s worth noting that iOS 26 is currently in beta, with a full launch anticipated in the fall.
Storing Amazon Return Codes in Apple Wallet
On Amazon’s end, users can now save return codes directly to Apple Wallet. Upon initiating a return for drop-off, Amazon will create a code to be scanned at your designated return location, such as a UPS store or Whole Foods.
With this convenience, you will notice an “Add to Apple Wallet” option appearing in the Amazon app for iOS. This functionality consolidates all return details and codes into Apple Wallet, making it especially useful for those dealing with multiple returns or when navigating areas with unreliable data connections.
