Clicks Keyboard Accessory Expands to Android Devices
Clicks, the innovative keyboard accessory for iPhones that gained immense popularity during CES 2024, is set to make its debut for various Android smartphones, including the Google Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S25, and the Moto Razr+ (2024). This compact device not only offers a physical QWERTY keyboard to enhance typing but also serves as a protective case for your phone. Previously, Clicks was exclusively compatible with iPhone 14 Pro, 14 Pro Max, and the entire iPhone 15 and 16 series.
When the initial iPhone was released, it marked the decline of smartphones equipped with physical keyboards, as consumers opted for sleek bar-shaped designs that featured expansive touchscreens. While touchscreen typing fulfills the needs of many users, Clicks is targeting content creators, vloggers, and productivity enthusiasts who may find a physical keyboard more efficient for their work. Personal observations suggest that typing on a MacBook results in significantly fewer errors compared to an iPhone, but it’s important to note that using Clicks can add considerable weight to your device, which may impact handling and make it feel more unbalanced to some users.
Clicks provides Android users with the ability to customize their typing experience through a dedicated companion app, enabling the modification of shortcut keys. Each Clicks case is equipped with several shortcut keys that differ according to the device, with a universal search key present across all models. The keys are designed with metal dome switches for tactile feedback and feature backlighting to facilitate use in low-light conditions, minimizing the need to revert to the on-screen keyboard when visibility decreases.
With the keyboard positioned below the screen, the entire display can be utilized, which is especially beneficial for applications that require more screen space. However, this added bulk may pose challenges when trying to fit the phone into pockets or bags. Importantly, users need not remove the case for charging, as Clicks supports USB-C passthrough charging. Additionally, for both the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro models, wireless charging capabilities are also integrated.

For the Pixel 9 and 9 Pro, Clicks will be available in two color options: Surge (yellow) and Onyx (black), with an expected shipping date set for late April. Users of the Motorola Razr+ (2024) can choose between Electric (blue) and Onyx, with shipments expected by the end of May. As for the Galaxy S25, the available colors will be Pinot (a reddish-brown) and Onyx, with shipping anticipated in June. Pre-orders for all Android models of this keyboard accessory are now open on the company’s website, with an introductory price of $99 until March 21; subsequent orders will be priced at $139.
