A Deep Dive into Eufy’s Newest Robotic Vacuums: The Omni E25 and E28
At the beginning of this year, Eufy introduced two new robotic vacuums: the Omni E25 and the Omni E28. Although they share a similar core design, the E28 comes equipped with an additional feature—a carpet cleaner. Generally, there’s little enthusiasm for Eufy’s offerings in this space, but this time, the excitement lies in their impressive components. These models incorporate features seen in some of the top rival robots on the market. Both units feature two sweepers that consistently engage with surfaces, reminiscent of the 3i S10 Ultra. Additionally, their dual rollers are designed to focus debris toward the center, similar to those found in the Roborock Saros series. A convenient integrated dispenser for detergent and impressive suction capabilities in both the tower and the robots themselves mirror the qualities of many high-end units tested over the years. Collectively, these traits promised an exceptional automated cleaning solution priced affordably at under $1,000.
However, the experience of putting the E25 and E28 to the test was less than ideal. The presence of the carpet cleaner in the E28 was more of a hindrance than a help, leading to a concentrated evaluation of the E25 alone. Regrettably, the overall experience did not improve significantly. While the hardware itself operates effectively, the accompanying software falls short of expectations. Users can expect to encounter numerous glitches, unanticipated power failures, and synchronization challenges, rendering this robotic vacuum largely impractical for everyday use.
