Exciting New Emojis Arriving with iOS 18.4 Update
In an update to the iOS 18.4 beta, users will soon have access to a range of fresh emojis, including the fittingly dubbed Face with Bags Under Eyes, a symbol that resonates with many of us at this time.
These latest emoji candidates have been suggested for rollout in September 2024 alongside Unicode Emoji 16.0. However, it usually takes Apple, along with other technology giants like Google and Samsung, time to develop and launch their unique renditions before they reach users. The most recent batch of emojis was incorporated into the iOS 17.4 update released in March 2024, which introduced emojis depicting “Head Shaking Horizontally” and “Head Shaking Vertically,” alongside a variety of other icons including a phoenix, lime, brown mushroom, and a broken chain.
New Emojis Set to Debut on iPhone

Additionally, users can leverage the Genmoji feature, powered by Apple Intelligence, to generate customized emojis. This creative tool debuted in beta with the release of iOS 18.2, accessible for iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the iPhone 16 series. To create a personalized emoji, simply switch to the emoji keyboard within any text box, select the emoji option, then input your desired prompts.

Among the proposed emoji are a variety of intriguing options such as a hairy creature, distorted face, fight cloud, apple core, orca, trombone, landslide, and treasure chest, in addition to skin tone variations for several existing emojis under consideration.
