Exciting Updates on the Nintendo Switch 2 Console
The excitement surrounding the forthcoming Switch 2 console continues to grow as Nintendo shares more details. A key enhancement is its refined capability to help users locate misplaced Joy-Con controllers. This feature was highlighted in a recent video released on the Nintendo Today app, which is accessible for both Android and iPhone.
Finding Your Lost Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Cons
To retrieve your missing Joy-Cons, navigate to the home screen, access the Controllers menu, and choose the Search for controllers option. From there, select the controller you’re trying to find, and the search will begin. If the Nintendo Today app isn’t installed, you can see this feature in action through a Bluesky post.
The original Nintendo Switch also had a way to help find lost Joy-Con controllers through a remote rumble feature. However, the Switch 2 takes it a step further by introducing vibrations accompanied by a beeping sound, making it much easier to locate your wayward controller. This experience is somewhat akin to how one would ping an iPhone or Apple Watch.
While Nintendo has yet to confirm any speaker functionality for the Joy-Con of the Switch 2, it’s likely that the beeping effect stems from a refined rumbling mechanism. Nevertheless, this hints at the impressive capabilities of HD Rumble 2.
