Introducing the Samsung Galaxy S25 Series
Samsung Unpacked is back, showcasing the newest flagship smartphones in their Android lineup. This year, Samsung presents the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra—expected advancements from the previous Galaxy S24 range. However, these devices come equipped with a host of new features and enhancements that warrant a closer look.
Innovative AI Features in the Galaxy S25

The Galaxy S25 lineup introduces exciting intelligent functionalities. Firstly, the Now Brief feature provides AI-driven summaries of your sleep patterns, weather forecasts, and your agenda for the day. This feature personalizes the information it shares by learning your habits over time, accessible from the lock screen or via a Home screen widget.
Another noteworthy addition is Cross App Action, which allows users to set up a series of tasks that the AI will automate. This feature can be activated by long-pressing the power button to engage Google Gemini.
Auto Suggestions serves as another AI advancement, offering recommendations based on your previous activities. For instance, it may prompt you to activate your robot vacuum cleaner when you’re away or to launch your preferred navigation app before a drive. Additionally, Multimodal Search broadens the realms of searching, allowing users to hum a melody to identify a song, with AI working to connect the dots for you.
Moreover, Auto Trim intelligently eliminates superfluous audio within your videos, removing filler words and other pauses. Users can specify keywords to help the AI locate the segments to be trimmed. Another impressive feature, Audio Eraser, filters out ambient noise and conversation, focusing on vocals and dialogue captured in videos taken with your phone.
Technical Specifications of the Galaxy S25

The entire Galaxy S25 series is equipped with the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC and is supported by 12GB of RAM. In comparison to its predecessor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, this new 8 Elite variant delivers a substantial performance enhancement of 45% and a 44% increase in energy efficiency, achieved through an advanced 3-nanometer manufacturing process. The upgraded Adreno GPU in the Snapdragon 8 Elite also enhances graphics performance by 40%, an advantage for mobile gaming enthusiasts.
As anticipated, each of the Galaxy S25 models features a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a refresh rate that adapts between 1Hz and 120Hz. Furthermore, security is ensured through an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and facial recognition technology. Storage capacities range from 128GB to a massive 1TB. The main distinctions among the devices lie in the sizes of their displays:
- Galaxy S25: Features a 6.2-inch display (2340 x 1080)
- Galaxy S25+: Offers a 6.7-inch display (3120 x 1440)
- Galaxy S25 Ultra: Boasts a 6.9-inch display (3120 x 1440)
As is customary, Samsung has included substantial batteries in all three models: the S25 has a 4,000mAh battery, the S25+ is equipped with a 4,900mAh battery, while the S25 Ultra has a 5,000mAh battery. In terms of charging capabilities, the S25 supports up to 25W for both wired and wireless options, while the S25+ and S25 Ultra are capable of up to 45W wired charging and maintain 25W wireless charging. All devices will also support reverse wireless charging through Wireless PowerShare, a feature that has become a standard in previous Galaxy smartphones.
It’s important to note that the Galaxy S25 series does not support Qi2 technology, which would enable MagSafe-style charging for Samsung devices. However, Samsung has indicated that various official cases for the Galaxy S25 series will incorporate magnets to facilitate compatibility with magnetic accessories.
Camera Capabilities of the Galaxy S25

The camera setups for the Galaxy S25 and S25+ include a 12MP ultra-wide lens, a 50MP wide lens, and a 10MP telephoto lens. In contrast, the S25 Ultra is outfitted with a remarkable 200MP wide lens, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and dual telephoto lenses—one at 10MP (3x) and another at 50MP (5x). Each model features a 12MP front-facing camera, with the Ultra model’s front camera enhanced with auto-focus capabilities.
The imaging performance is significantly boosted by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, allowing for removing unwanted elements from videos using on-device AI capabilities. This chip also enhances low-light video recording, making it easier to capture quality footage in darker environments.

The Galaxy S25 and S25+ will be available in striking colors including Silver Shadow, Navy, Icy Blue, and Mint.
