Target Circle Week in October: A Rival to Amazon
This year’s October Prime Day has concluded, yet numerous competitive sales remain ongoing. For instance, Walmart’s event will extend until October 13, while Target’s Circle Week sale is also happening. Traditionally, October Prime Day signifies the commencement of the holiday shopping period, but Target has been outpacing Amazon by launching their competition sale earlier for two consecutive years and wrapping up later. Below is everything you should know about Target Circle Week.
What is Target Circle Week and How Long Does It Last?
Target Circle Week is an annual fall sale that typically lasts one week, strategically starting prior to Amazon’s Prime Big Deals Day in October—a sale that only spans two days—and extending beyond it. This promotion is directly inspired by October Prime Day and is accompanied by sales from Best Buy and Walmart.
As outlined in Target’s press release, this year’s Target Circle Week is scheduled from October 6 through October 12. This timing ensures you have ample opportunity for your fall and holiday shopping, even if you missed out on Amazon’s major sale.
Is Membership Required to Shop at Target Circle Week?
Joining Target’s sale requires you to be a Circle member, similar to needing a Prime membership for Amazon’s event. However, unlike Amazon, there are no fees associated with becoming a member. Registration is available through the Target app or Target.com.
What Discounts Can Be Found During Target Circle Week?
Target presents an array of deals ideal for holiday preparations, featuring savings on ‘fall favorites’, daily essentials, and much more. Shopping can be done in-store or online. Their Deal of the Day program will also return from November 1 through the end of the shopping season, featuring over half of their holiday toys for $20 or less and thousands of items under $5 for stocking stuffers. There are also multiple deals on brands such as Disney, LEGO, FAO Schwarz, Papatui, Being Frenshe, and Fine’ry available during Circle Week.
Notably, many deals during Circle Week have been matched by Amazon, and some remain available. Target particularly excels in offering specialized home and kitchen appliances that may be harder to locate on Amazon. Here are some notable items already available:
