Prime Day has returned, bringing with it the classic dilemma of “do I really need this?” If you’ve been contemplating a set of open-ear earbuds that allow for awareness of your surroundings, the Soundcore AeroFit 2 may deserve a place on your shopping list. Currently priced at $73.99 (down from $129.99), this is the most affordable rate yet, as noted by price monitoring services.
As with all Prime Day offerings, acquiring these earbuds requires a Prime membership (alternatively, you could sign up for a 30-day free trial and opt out before the $14.99/month charge kicks in).
Stay Aware of Your Surroundings
The AeroFit 2 is designed to sit outside the ear canal, featuring angled speakers that deliver audio while still allowing environmental sounds to be heard. This open design is particularly beneficial for activities like cycling, running, or sharing workspace environments, where maintaining situational awareness is crucial. It offers approximately 10 hours of use on a single charge and up to 42 hours with the case as per manufacturer specifications.
While this runtime is slightly reduced compared to the previous model, the audio quality improves significantly with upgraded bass response and LDAC support for high-resolution sound compatibility with compatible devices. Additional features include wireless charging, Bluetooth 5.4 with multi-device connection capability, and IP55 rated dust and water protection. While it lacks quick pairing like Google Fast Pair, the connection process is straightforward: simply open the charging case, pair via Bluetooth, and you’re set.
The Soundcore app allows for extensive sound customization, featuring multiple equalizer presets and the option to design a personalized audio profile with an 8-band equalizer. Additionally, a 3D Surround Sound mode enhances the experience for movies and gaming. However, the absence of noise cancellation and a mute feature for calls is a notable drawback.
What do you think so far?
If the open-ear design intrigues you and you’re in search of a lightweight, feature-rich option under $100, this Prime Day sale is an excellent opportunity to try the AeroFit 2.
