On the cinematic front, A24’s Parthenope will premiere on June 6. This coming-of-age story by Paolo Sorrentino is set in Naples and stars Celeste Dalla Porta alongside Gary Oldman. Another film, Cleaner, arrives on June 13, depicting contemporary activists in London who take a bold stance against corruption by seizing hostages at an energy company’s annual gala.

Additional titles include the whimsical The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie on June 27, and the eagerly awaited A Minecraft Movie, featuring stars like Jason Momoa, Jack Black, Danielle Brooks, Emma Myers, and Jennifer Coolidge. This family-friendly flick made its theater debut earlier this spring and is labeled as “coming soon” to Max.

For documentary enthusiasts, June welcomes several compelling HBO Originals. The series launches with The Mortician on June 1, exploring the morally ambiguous practices of California’s Lamb Funeral Home across three fascinating episodes. Additionally, Zackary Drucker’s Enigma (June 24) will delve into themes of transgender legacy and identity through notable figures like April Ashley and Amanda Lear. Lastly, My Mom Jayne (June 27) follows actress Mariska Hargitay as she seeks to uncover the story of her mother, who passed away when Hargitay was a child.
