Elon Musk’s Platform Faces Outages Once Again
As numerous expatriates shift their attention to platforms such as Bluesky and Threads, a significant number of users are still navigating the turbulent waters of X, the platform previously known as Twitter. If you happen to be one of those users, you may have encountered a frustrating experience today: X was temporarily inaccessible.
Depending on the timing of your visit to this article, the situation may have already been resolved. However, there were multiple interruptions reported throughout Monday morning when the platform was non-operational. Data from Downdetector indicated that the highest volume of complaints emerged in three distinct waves: the first around 5:41 a.m., the second at 10:11 a.m., and the third at 11:11 a.m., which was also the time when users first detected the disruptions.
A significant number of grievances were registered regarding the outage, with reports surpassing 150,000 as indicated on the Downdetector graph at the time of this writing.
Efforts to navigate to twitter.com (the habit of typing x.com remains unshakeable) resulted in prolonged loading times before an error message appeared on the screen:

The reasons behind these technical difficulties this morning remain unclear; however, it’s worth noting that the current operational capacity of the platform is notably reduced compared to its previous workforce. This is not an isolated incident, as the site has experienced similar downtimes during Musk’s tenure. Back in May, the service faced comparable challenges that were ultimately rectified by the team at X. It’s likely that today’s disruptions will follow a similar trajectory, giving users an unintended respite from the platform.
