Maximize Your Savings with Alexa During Amazon’s October Prime Day
The October Prime Day sale on Amazon kicks off on October 8. Navigating through the myriad of discounts and pinpointing the best offers can often feel overwhelming. Instead of wading through a sea of deals, consider utilizing Alexa to keep you informed about the discounts on the items you genuinely wish to purchase. This way, less time is wasted on irrelevant offers.
Residents of the United States who are Amazon Prime members with Echo smart speakers can activate deal alerts. This feature allows you to receive notifications a full day before potential price drops, and you can even instruct Alexa to complete purchases for you right at the deal’s launch. Here’s how to set it up.
Establishing Alexa Deal Notifications
Start by launching the Amazon Shopping app or accessing the Amazon website through your browser. Then, add products you wish to monitor to your Wish List, Shopping Cart, or a Saved for Later list.
Next, open the Alexa mobile application and navigate to More > Settings > Notifications > Amazon Shopping. Enable Deal Recommendations to start receiving notifications for items featured in your shopping activity.
When Alexa detects an upcoming promotion for an item in your Saved for Later list, Wish List, or Shopping Cart, you will receive a pop-up alert on your Echo Show or notice a yellow light on your Echo speaker. You can also inquire, “Alexa, what are my notifications?” to hear a compilation of current deals.
Alexa can provide alerts for deals as early as 24 hours in advance. You can prompt Alexa to remind you of a deal as it approaches or request that it makes the purchase for you when it goes live. Simply voice the command, “Alexa, buy it for me,” and the device will process the payment and arrange for delivery to your primary address.
